I can’t say enough good things about K9 Solutions and working with Chris! From the minute our intake appointment was over, I knew I made the right choice. Chris was incredible — super knowledgeable, patient, and really took the time to explain why we were doing certain things, which helped me trust the process and feel way more confident as a young dog owner. When we started, my sweet puppy Hazel couldn’t even go on a walk. She was scared of almost everything, pulled like crazy on the leash, and definitely needed MAJOR help with socialization. Fast forward to now — after a mix of in-home sessions, out-and-about training, and even some group classes — Hazel and I are going on long walks, grabbing coffee, and even sitting down at restaurants together. Oh — and my 7-pound Chihuahua now knows exactly who’s in charge! 😂 Working with Chris was honestly the best decision - 100% worth the time and investment. My dogs breed is an English Shepard, if your reading my review it's almost a certainty that you have never met one before let alone you've probably never heard of the breed either. These dogs and my dog specifically have been bred as working dogs to actually work day in and day out on small rural farms all across America. They are amazing dogs, but they are driven to work, herd and enforce the rules. My puppy Rooster had all the challenges of every Golden Retriever or Pit Mix puppy I've ever had in my life, but he also had the neuroticism of a working herding dog. Rooster was lunging at cars, and his obedience in general wasn't much better and none of the generic advice was working. That is why I originally reached out to Chris and started working with him. Like all the reviews say, Chris is a phenomenon trainer and he transformed Rooster into the Dog I always dreamed of. We learned through the process that Rooster wasn't the problem, but it was me that needed the guidance. I was ashamed to take my dog on walks because he would lunge and bark at cars. Now, I can take him off leash anywhere anytime, and I get compliments everywhere we go. I recently took Rooster for a herding lesson with real sheep with a world renowned trainer. During Roosters initial session, when we completed the lesson, I recalled Rooster off the sheep and he instantly came to my side. The trainer was blown away that I was able to recall a dog with such instinct and drive off of working cattle, which was a testament to Chris methodology. On top of the obvious, Chris is a great human that works his ass off to provide for his family, while also making the collective dog community a better place. Nothing but love and respect, thanks again for everything.

I cannot say enough good things about Chris and his approach to training. At the time of enrolling in his program, I had a year and a half old Australian Cattle Dog that, while I had tried my best to socialize her from puppyhood to prevent the reactivity they are so prone to, I think I inadvertently oversocialized her as I had quite an overly excitable and out of control teenager on my hands when it came time to interact with new people, or even worse new dogs. Definitely the better of the two problems to have with this breed, however the lack of manners and self control, paired with her attention span of a goldfish, made public encounters completely stressful. Chris was able identify the issues at hand and give us the proper tools and techniques to correct and engage in appropriate behaviors while out in public as well as in the home. While I thought I had taught her quite a bit as a pup, I didn’t realize how many holes were present in her training which Chris was also able to correct, and I’m quite proud to say she passed her public access test which we could not have done without him. I feel it’s important to note that while Chris is excellent at what he does, the homework he assigns is absolutely necessary for success (as with anything) and you can’t expect quality results if you aren’t willing to put the work in our your end too. Chris is very attentive, easy to talk to, and I appreciated the consistent follow-ups on Jade’s progress in-between sessions. If we ran into a hiccup or weren’t grasping a concept he was trying to teach, he was absolutely available to work through those issues, but you have to communicate and not just hope they will self-resolve. Chris really cares about his clients, both two legged and four legged and wants to see you succeed - 10/10 would recommend for any of your training needs!

Chris is absolutely fantastic—5 stars is not enough!! After interviewing multiple local trainers, it was a no-brainier to go with K9 Solutions. After working with Chris to train our golden retriever puppy with a very large personality, we couldn’t be happier. He is not only extremely professional and an expert about breeds, behavior and training, he also genuinely cares about getting your dog to be the best they can be. Plus our pup adores him!! We’ve recommended him to friends and neighbors and will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs their dog trained.

I brought my dog Koda to get trained by Chris and the experience was nothing but great the whole time. Koda is a German shepherd and as all shepherds usually are he was very anxious in new environments and had bad leash manners. After working with Chris, Koda has learned to be a fully obiedent shepherd who listens to commands well and walks near enough perfect on the leash. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone who is in need of dog obedience and training. It’ll be a real shocker when you see how well your dog will listen to his command in only the first few minutes.
